Lentil soup/curry, just what you want

 Super easy soup or curry. Very few short steps and its ready to eat. If you like it spicy you can add more spice to it or if you like it less spicy add less spicy. Its all easy. Very tasty indeed.

 

 

Ingredients & Method

 
 

Ingredients:

  • Lentil - 1 cup
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - ½ tsp
  • Red chili pods - 2
  • Lemon juice - ½  lime
  • Turmeric - ½  tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Green chili - 1
  • Cilantro leaves - optional

 

Method:

  • Wash the lentil add water in a pan and cook till the lentils are soft.
  • Add 1 green chili pod, turmeric powder and let it cook on simmer.
  • In a pan add oil and add the red chili pods, red chilli, cumin seeds and let it cook.
  • Now mash the lentils with a spoon and add the cooked cumin seed and chilli mixture
  • Just let it cook for 10 mints and it done, you can garnish it with cilantro leaves.
  • Enjoy!!! That’s it.
 

Servings:

Enough for 4 people. Adjust as needed.
